Ribbon Grass, a spin off of the popular Ted Baxter Experience, the originator of the retro-party in the Johnstown area in 1995, has been an established and favorite dance band since 1997. Shortly after forming, we began the retro-revolution in Johnstown, and brought back those long forgotten 80's party songs. A change of members occurred throughout the years, and we found ourselves having four strong vocalists in the group. This combination of talent allowed us to diversify the selection of dance songs from solely retro to a four-decade span, and incorporate a variety of musical styles from classic rock to disco, 70's funk to 80's retro, early 90's rap to country or metal. Whatever and whenever we play, audiences can’t sit down and fill the dance floor from the first note to the last drum beat.
